A severe storm swept away in the night on Thursday on parts of Europe. In England, according to recent data nine people were killed. Most victims are fishermen whose trawler has sunk.

In Belgium, a motorist involved in an accident on the motorway from Brussels to Liege fatal because of severe storms with his vehicle. On the Channel coast in France came the ship traffic to a halt, because the English port of Dover was closed because of the storm. In Dunkirk, there was no piloting some vessels, there were no ferries from Dover.
